







Security Analyst Student

Our MDR-team is one of CSIS’s core services, and we are growing! Our MDR specialists run a 24/7/365 operation securing our clients by monitoring, responding, and classifying alerts raised from our IT systems. As our new Security Analyst Student, you will examine devices that have been compromised by malware or malicious hackers for our customers.
You will become part of a team of 22 skilled colleagues, including 7-8 different nationalities. Your new colleagues are curious about learning new things, great at collaborating within the team and across the organisation, and they enjoy socialising.
As a Security Analyst Student, you will work primarily evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts can vary in length, from 5 to 12 hours. Students book their own shifts on an ongoing basis, but you should be available to work an average of 10-15 hours per week.
Your new job:
We are looking for a new student, and we will have four in total in the team. We will make sure that you are onboarded and prepared for the role, and you will achieve skills that are valuable for your future career, which may be with us. Many of our student analysts stay with us once they graduate. You will gain in-depth working knowledge of: IT Security monitoring, SIEM, IDS/IPS systems, Windows forensics, incident handling and IT security in general. Your primary responsibilities will be:
Triaging, investigating and responding to alerts
Monitoring security events from multiple data sources, providing analysis and concrete recommendations to our customers
Performing forensic investigations of systems that are potentially affected by malware
Act as first line support with incident response assignments (24/7 assistance on phone and mail)
Fine tuning of detection rules to increase the true positive alert ratio
About you:
It is important for us that you are engaged in what you do and are eager to learn. You ideally have 1-2 years left of your studies, and you can tick off many of the following:
Possess a high degree of self-motivation
Have an eye for detail and ensure consistent high quality in your work
A good understanding of the Microsoft Security Tech Stack
Have good verbal and written English communication skills
Have basic knowledge of SIEM or EDR tools
Are proficient in Windows and Linux
Have basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, Firewall, TCP/IP, VPN etc.)
Have basic programming skills
Have a solid analytic mindset in problem-solving
Are a good team-player

The position:
The student position is paid on an hourly basis, approximately 10-15 hours per week, and it is available starting in the second half of May
The workplace is at Lindevangs Allé near the Fasanvej St. (M1, M2) Metro Station in the center of Frederiksberg, Denmark
It is a requirement that you can show and uphold a clean criminal record.
