Senior Red Team Operator
Job Brief
At CSIS, our Adversary Simulation & Offensive Research Team is seeking an experienced Red Team Operator to play a key role in developing our new Red Team function. In this position, you will deliver complex, long-term, threat intelligence-led red team campaigns that demand stealth, and tailored TTPs.
If you are someone who enjoys deep technical work, hands-on-keyboard time, and wants a role where research and operations go hand in hand, this might be for you.
At CSIS, R&D fuels how we evolve as a Red Team. Alongside real-world engagements, you’ll explore new techniques, build custom tools, and sharpen our offensive tradecraft.
What You’ll Do
- Execute long-term red team operations where the primary goal is to simulate real-life threats and demonstrate tangible business risks.
- Dedicate R&D time to develop custom tooling, research novel techniques, and refine operational capabilities.
- Maintain a stealth-focused and methodical approach during complex engagements in enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with experts across CSIS and the Allurity group to exchange knowledge.
- Produce clear, actionable reports and communicate with both technical and executive stakeholders.
About You
- Minimum 2 years in a senior or principal red team role, with experience in intelligence-led operations, purple teaming, and regulatory testing (e.g. TIBER-EU, CBEST).
Experience in offensive tooling development (C/C++, .NET, Python), malware development, and C2 framework customization.
Solid understanding of endpoint detection, and OPSEC attitude.
Hands-on experience in both traditional and cloud-native enterprise environments.
A collaborative mindset focused on shared learning and success.
Legal right to work in the EU or UK.
Although not a requirement, certifications such as OSEP, OSCE, OSEE, CRTO, CCSAS, etc. or public contributions (tools, blogs, conference talks) are highly valued.
What We Offer
- A competitive compensation package, including performance-based bonus.
25 days of paid vacation annually.
Flexible hybrid or remote work setup within Europe.
A diverse and inclusive culture of international cybersecurity experts across Denmark, the UK, Romania, Sweden, and the Netherlands.
A collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment, with cross-discipline exposure to detection, DFIR, and threat intelligence and research.
